In the past, even the future was better
Traditionally, on Sunday morning, the WIGA opens with a worship service. The motto of this year’s event in the Werdenberg Arena is “in the past even the future was better”. In a In a rapidly changing environment, some people long for the good old days. Others yearn for a more promising future.
We humans are shaped by the past, live in the present and worry or hope for the future. And then there is this God, who the Bible says is eternal, stands above all time and has not changed over the generations. What perspectives does that give us for our lives?
With a video clip, interviews with people from different generations, a sermon and band-accompanied songs, the service seeks to explore these questions and thoughts. While the adults celebrate in the Werdenberg Arena, children from infancy to the end of elementary school have their own age-appropriate programs.
Responsible for this inspiring service is, as usual, the Evangelical Alliance Werdenberg, a working group of churches from the Werdenberg region. Admission is free.
