In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:4-5, 9-13 ESV

Questions for reflection

  • In what ways does the light shine into the darkness in our own lives?
  • What does God promise to all who receive him?

    Questions for reflection
1 In what ways does the light shine into the darkness in our own lives?

1 In Him there is life and being an eternal source of life He created and He sustains all life. For His human creations He is not only material life (the life of the body) but the spiritual Light that enlightens the mind and heart for understanding and accepting the truth. Baptism delivered by the Apostles begotten by the Holy Spirit the day of Pentecost is where it all begins. Baptism -removes all sin- allows a new beginning, it gives men and women the right to anticipation to theosis a supernatural condition known as being Holy or “being a god by the Grace of God, becoming adopted children of God, New Creation, New Adam and Eternal life. Baptism UNITES MAN with his Creator God, by restoring man to Gods likeness, (Holy) granting him this way the opportunity here on earth to achieve immortality (return to His presence) , a life that is eternal, otherwise known as ETERNAL LIFE or the heavenly Kingdom. (Luke 17:21) No one will say, “Look here it is”! Or, “There it is!” because the Kingdom of God is within you”. Special wishes/prayers are read in Baptism that renounces (orders away) -the devil- from the heart from the lives of those being Baptized. All this because the resurrected Lord Jesus is present in His Church as Height Priest (Hebrews 5:5) and Mediator to His Father. [Galatians 3:27] “You were baptized into union with Christ, and now you are clothed, with the life of Christ himself” The Church is not an human made organization, but a living god man organism that is Divine. (Α Colossians 1:18) “He is the head of his body, the Church; He is the source of the body’s life”.

2 What does God promise to all who receive him?

2 (Luke 22:29) describes the “rightful place” if you like that all Christians will have on the side of our Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity
“AS AN REWARD OF YOUR DEDICATION TO ME, I PROMISE YOU A KINGDOM UPON THE AUTHORITY THAT I HAVE BY THE VIRTUE THAT MY FATHER ALSO GAVE A KINGDOM TO ME”. The way in attaining the presence of God (His Kingdom/being Holy) is acquired by what is known to the Church as Divine life.

    Divine life
Those who are looking to live in His presence (God logos) as Kings must have the morality of Christ. The Holy Bible is dedicated in teaching us his divine morality, his divine justice, the way He thinks if I may, the way He wants His Saints who will be with Him and represent Him to be! Each and every story each and every parable is contains moral teachings of the morality of Christ and His Saints to be. So the up keeping in our daily lives of all of the Evangelical commandments is the first part of Divine Life. The participation with honesty in all of the Holy Sacraments of the Church is participating and allowing Lord Jesus the to remaking each and every one to a godman (saint) by the grace of God. In the beginning of Christianity (the first 60 years) and in the absence of the Holy Bible, Salvation was/is possible by Divine Life alone.

No education or the ability to read was ever needed for Salvation. After Baptism, Salvation can be sustained/achieved by the participation to 1 Divine Thanks (Church), 2 Confession, 3 Holy Communion, 4 fasting and 5 Prayer. Divine Life is accessible to all rich and poor educated or not this way. In a general sense the Holy Canons by which the Church was created provide man’s freedom for they work in order to aid man to be delivered from Sin, and at the same time they liberate him from his greatest tyrant the devil : : http://www.holytrinitymission.org/books/english/cannons_apostles_rudder.htm
All of this is because Lord Jesus who is God Logos is present and He is the SOURCE of the body’s life. (Α Colossians 1:18) “He is the head of his body, the Church; He is the source of the body’s life”.
