Sermons from January 2015
Jesus came into the world to pay for our sin, to die on the cross a horrible, terrible death. And that wasn’t something to look forward to—but it was the right thing to do.
The theme of this year’s Alliance Week of Prayer is the Lord’s Prayer, and as we know it starts with “Our Father in heaven” as described in Matthew. But I also love the beginning of the Lord’s Prayer in Luke, where it starts simply with “Father.” I love that it’s so simple yet so direct—“Father.”
We are looking forward to a new year; we are looking forward with anticipation for what’s going to happen in this new year.
